The Department of Electrical Engineering at Kolhapur Institute of Technology’s College of Engineering was established in 2018. The department offers a Bachelor’s Degree programme, in Electrical Engineering. The four year undergraduate programme leads to the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Electrical Engineering with an optional honors degree in Electric Vehicle Technology. The department is firmly committed to providing our students with a rigorous and comprehensive education that equips them with the skills, knowledge, and mindset necessary to excel in their chosen careers. Our distinguished faculty members bring a wealth of expertise and experience to the classroom, and they are deeply invested in nurturing the intellectual growth and professional development of our students. The Department of Electrical Engineering also offers numerous opportunities for research, collaboration, and hands-on learning. Through our laboratories, industry partnerships, and extracurricular activities, students have the chance to apply their classroom knowledge to real-world problems and gain valuable practical experience. The department in collaboration with the central Training and Placement cell ensures that students are provided with quality placements at the end of their B.Tech degree. In addition to this program, the department is also actively involved in conducting faculty development programmes, job-oriented short-term training programmes, GATE preparation classes, workshops, continuing education programmes for engineering professionals and academic faculty.
